Astor Piazzolla: "Five Tangos"
This is the fifth of the 5 Tangos for cello and double bass.
The "Tango Nuevo" of the famous tango master Piazzolla in an arrangement for cello and double bass! The cello part is for the most part quite high-pitched. Due to the extended harmonies of the tango music, it was not possible to do without double stops in both parts in the arrangement for this instrumentation. However, the extra difficulty is rewarded by the very special romantic charm of this tango music.
