A transcription of the Sonata in E minor for viola da gamba and basso continuo, the third of the "six easy sonatas for viola da gamba". The three movements require the mastery of the thumb position, but otherwise do not make any special technical demands. The arranger has added ornaments to the original score as a suggestion. The arrangement is intended for the double bass in solo tuning, nevertheless a transposed piano part is included. If the sonata is to be played with harpsichord, it is recommended to use a continuo bass, for which a separate part is included.
