Track 6-9 of the CD "cello - bass duets".
Antonio Vivaldi: "Sonata in E minor"
The continuo part of this four-movement sonata has been arranged for the double bass as an independent counterpart part, whereby the double bass has to play a lot in higher registers. Only in the second movement, in which the cello part is quite low, is the double bass part notated throughout in bass clef only. This gives this movement the humorous character of a gnome dance.
The sheet music is available here at PRObass Musikverlag under order number C 126.
violoncello: Paul-Gerhard Wiebecke
