Track 1-5 of the CD "cello - bass duets".
5 pieces from
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: "Kegelduette".
12 small pieces (in the original for two basset horns) of a cheerful and contemplative character, which are an enrichment for the cello-bass literature. For better playability on the double bass, the pieces have been transposed from F major to G major. By placing the second voice an octave higher (and the double bass does sound an octave lower), the original relationship of the two voices to each other was maintained. The double bass has to be played a lot in the thumb position, but the voice is not overly heavy and complements the cello part wonderfully.
The sheet music is available here at PRObass Musikverlag under order number C 123
